The Astra Nova Gallery is pleased to present the Life’s Mysteries, the 2023 - 2024 Art Exhibition featuring works created in Photography for Humans, Acrylic Painting, Drawing the Universe and Visual Storytelling.

Life is an unpredictable enigma that shapes us all. It presents mysterious ways, and in every element of life lies beauty and wonder, and with that comes sorrow and fury. In this exhibition we see a curated collection of artworks done by students throughout the year, each of them depicting unique perspectives on the complexities of life. This multimedia exhibition includes art of various forms. Through photography, artists are able to perceive life with realism, using the tools in photoshop to emphasize certain aspects of the image. Drawings and paintings tell us a story not through the lens of the camera, but through the hand of the artist. From the strokes of the brush, to the variety and harmony of the color, we are able to see our world from another angle.

The works in this exhibition play with color, contrast, perspective, movement, and rhythm. Many works focus on the beauties of nature, and aspects of the natural world, whereas others show the relation between humans and their environment. Together, they highlight the contrast between these two worlds and how their interactions pose infinite questions.

Looking at these vast interpretations of life’s mysteries, the viewer can wonder about the essence of creation.
